In a nutshell

EGP-University of Porto Business School (EGP-UPBS) is the Business School at the largest Portuguese University, the University of Porto. Its mission is the teaching of graduate courses and advanced executive management training, complementary activities with a permanent involvement in the fields of applied research and business services.

“Sharing experiences. Building new worlds” is the motto of EGP-UPBS. In line with the Post-Graduate Programme on Information Management and Marketing Intelligence, EGP-UPBS has decided to organize the IMPACT0 conference to share and discuss views on topics such as Innovation, Technology, Social Media and Information Management. The conference will take place in the school premises in the stunning city of Porto on the 1st of June 2010.

We will be addressing the IMPACT that the new wave of the Web (Web 2.0) and the new trends in innovation, technology and customer behaviour have for companies.

The keynote speaker for this first edition (first of many, hopefully) is David Armano, Senior Vice-President at Edelman Digital and a renowned speaker on the topics of social media and social business design. He is both an active practitioner and thinker in the worlds of digital marketing, interaction design, and the social web. Author of the popular Logic + Emotion blog, he also writes industry perspectives for the Harvard Business Review. Please note that this will be the only presentation delivered in English.

As far as the conference goes, we will be innovating ourselves by creating a morning session for self proposed talks.
